Exclusive: IOC lose another worldwide sponsor as Intel departure confirmed

The American multinational corporation has become the fifth company to leave The Olympic Partner programme, even though the next Games are coming to its California headquarters. David Owen reports

Chipmaker Intel has become the latest company to drop out of the International Olympic Committee’s flagship worldwide sponsorship programme.

Asked by the Zeus Files why Intel had been removed from the list of The Olympic Partner sponsors on the Olympics website, the IOC replied: “Intel’s TOP Partnership, which began in 2017, concluded at the end of 2024.

“Given the turbulence in Intel’s industry, the agreement was never foreseen in the IOC TOP Revenues beyond 2024. The IOC would like to thank Intel for its partnership and the cutting edge innovations the company has brought to the Olympic and Paralympic Games over the past eight years.”
